international law enforcement forum
| This site is part of a continuing effort to bring together the international community of law enforcement practitioners in examining minimal force approaches to conflict resolution – focusing on the technologies, training requirements, and policy issues surrounding less-lethal (less-than-lethal) weapons.
The growing level of violence associated with protests coupled with the growth of military involvement in multinational peacekeeping missions, provides a more urgency for identifying broadly accepted (international) approaches for minimal force options. It underscores the need in the law enforcement community for trusted agent evaluations of the existing and emerging less-lethal technologies that are ostensibly designed to assist law enforcement officers to manage conflict.
