This program typically begins at the completion of sophomore year (summer semester). Must possess a GPA of 3.2 or above. May apply in the spring semester of sophomore year.

arl-walker graduate assistantship

Students must be accepted into the Penn State Graduate School, pursuing their MS and/or PhD degrees in an engineering-related graduate program within Penn State from the College of Engineering, College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, Eberly College of Science, or School of Information Sciences and Technology. Successful candidates will have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or above during their junior and senior years. May apply after acceptance into the specific Graduate School, beginning fall semester.
D.O.O.R. summer internship
This outreach program is available to 3rd - 5th year undergraduates and graduate students in the physics, engineering, and materials science disciplines. The 10-12 week research-focused internship program is open to achieving students from Penn State, and from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and Minority Serving Institutions with whom ARL has a research partnership. Participants receive a stipend for 40 hour work weeks. Additional allowances may apply.
