The Gear Research Institute at the Applied Research Laboratory of Penn State is looking for undergraduate students interested in mechanical power transmission research and testing being conducted at the Institute. Work involves setting up gear test machines, gear metrology, gear failure analysis, fatigue test data collection and statistical analysis. This position is made possible by a grant from John Deere. Employment opportunities at John Deere upon graduation are a strong possibility.
Students must be a junior or senior in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Science and Mechanics and will work up to 20 hours per week.
